I couldn't put my phone in this photo as I was using it to take the picture. :P
I put my phone on the tripod and used it to film me drawing on the whiteboard using the pens. I then used windows movie maker to:
- Flip the movie around (it was filmed upside down)
- Speed the movie up (by about 4 or 5 times)
- Add a filter to make it look a little more cool.
- Add the sound track
It was actually that easy! It was just an idea I had a while ago after watching a sketch movie made by a professional artist and some super cool technology (graphics tablets and fancy animation software).
I hope you find this useful. If you need to know anything else, then just ask and please send me a link if you create a sketch movie.
Fantastic, I'm going to give it a go! Another way to do something similar, but totally non-manual is using "jing". Thanks Kyle, Cheers, Angela (I used to live in Bothwell)
ReplyDeleteGreat idea! thank you, Kyle!
ReplyDeleteHi Kyle
ReplyDeleteWhat filter did you use by the way?
Hi Sally,
DeleteI used the 'edge detection filter' :)
Thanks so much for this, Kyle.
ReplyDeleteI have had a play (am not yet ready to share the result but will do so soon).
They are really nice effects combinations :)
Thanks for explaining it, Kyle! It doesn't sound very complicated and looks so cool! I'm going to share it with my students. They like things like that. And I'm going to try, too:)
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing your process. This is terrific!
ReplyDeleteThank you Kyle. This is very helpful - I have been thinking about the simplest way to do this and you seem to have it sussed.
